I realized that a few posts from this summer deserved a little follow up. After all, I’m sure there were some of you waiting eagerly, anxiously, and a whole other slew of emotions (I’m not sure baited breath is an emotion, so I left that out of that category).
Back in early July, I committed to getting more organized. Well, I am happy to say that I am on the path. I’m not perfect, but I never planned on getting there. Color coding my calendar has helped tremendously, but so has just the simple act of writing in my calendar. Funny that.
I also looked at getting more exercise. Well, sadly, I have thought about getting my fit on, but haven’t exactly put my money where my mouth is. Bad Brian!
Another resolution was learning to say no. It is still harder than it sounds, but I am getting better at it. The higher level of sanity is outweighing the guilt I feel. That has to count for something doesn’t it?
Then there was the whole Buy Nothing Month. I’m happy to say that I managed to make it the entire month without spending money, except on food and such. Maybe if I had started exercising, there would have been a little less food purchased. But, like I said, I’m working on that.
In fact, I enjoyed my buy nothing experience so much, I am thinking of doing a semi annual or even quarterly buy nothing-palooza.
