Starting With the Basics

I admit to being a bit of a finance geek. I'm not a guru or anything, but I follow the economic trends and read financial websites. Over the years, there has been one columnist who has caught my eye. Liz Pulliam Weston, who posts on MSN's Money site, writes a column filled with practical money information in a language that anyone can understand. She writes about a whole assortment of topics. She has written numerous columns about credit scores (how to fix them, what they mean, why they are important), how to plan for budget disasters, but my favorite column was one about ditching a bank for credit unions. Call me biased, but I thought it was really well written.

Liz has a no nonsense tells-it-like-it-is approach that blows a breath of fresh air in this uncertain economic time. Here is a list of her columns. Do me (and yourself) a favor and check a few of them out. Let me know what you think.
