Working in the financial industry has made me privy to some pretty cool financial tools available to consumers and over the years they are getting cooler and cooler! There are so many online resources available to consumers for help with their bank accounts and how to balance, budget, and save it’s sometimes overwhelming. One of my favorite websites is Mint.com. It’s super cool and designed for those of you who have accounts all over the place; loan here, savings there etc. It has completely changed my financial world. My first time logging on was a little intimidating because I had to give up all my account info but the website is so super secure I had full confidence my info was safe. As soon as I had all my info uploaded I logged in to the website and got an overview of all my accounts. When I say all I really do mean ALL. A subsequent bonus is that now I have 1 username and 1 password to see all my accounts. I can see my checking account balances, 401-k balance, credit card balances, my auto loans, my savings and anything else I would want. The balances update every 15 minutes on all the accounts so I’m always in touch with my financial standing. It also has a budgeting tool which tracks my budget and spending by debit purchases.
Miraculous isn’t it? It knows what was spent for shopping, groceries, gas, and whatever else you want to track. It also sends you a text and/or e-mail when you’ve gone over budget in a category and of course there’s an app for it!![]()
Seriously check this website out. It’s all kinds of secured financial responsibility . Also, check out their blog for financial news and budget tips.
Let me know what you think. Any of you out there use mint.com? What kind of online financial software do you love? Share with us!
