So about a month ago I gave out a list of some upcoming concerts I thought would be worth looking into. Last Friday I went to see this band Toubab Krewe at the Wow Hall and realized I forgot to put them on the list. Here’s a video of them, it’s a little long but is a good representation of their style. They are 100% instrumental and make for fun “Eugenian” dancing. The two drummers in the back are pretty amazing. They had a full drum set and percussion section at the concert I went to. The guy front and center rips on the harps, one of which i think he build himself. All five of the band members are just awesome musicians and are extremely technical. Check out some of their other videos on YouTube if you like their style, some of them are pretty fun to watch.
Also, I’d like to hear about concerts you know of that are coming up. Anything we should all now about?
